ART IN THE PARK

QJSHS Art Instructor Danielle Frid will be leading two sessions of canvas paintings for youth ages 8 to 18. Session 1 is Tuesday's September 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 4-6 PM at the Pioneer Park Pavilion, and Session 2 is the same time and location Tuesday's October 6th, 13th, and 20th. The cost of the program is $75 per session, which includes all materials, and each session is limited to the first twelve participants. Registration can be completed using the link below.

Junior Golf Clinic

The second round of the junior golf clinic program runs every Thursday evening from 4 to 5:30 PM at Plumas Pines Golf Resort, beginning September 10th and ending October 15th. The program will be led by CPRPD General Manager and former golf professional, James Shipp. Participants will focus on swing mechanics, short game, rules, gameplay, and more, and will also play six holes with on-course instruction. The cost of the program is $190, is limited to the first twelve participants, and is open to participants 7 to 14 years old. All participants are responsible for their own transportation and must bring their own clubs. Registration can be completed online using the link below.

Youth Fitness Camp

Instructor Jason Gay will be leading a youth fitness camp at Pioneer Park on Thursday's from 5-6 PM from September 17th-October 22nd. The camp will focus on building strength, athleticism, and overall health. The cost of the program is $30 and is limited to the first twelve participants. Dance in the park

Join instructor Eliza Hardee for fun dance in the park! The program is open to 3 to 5 year old's and runs Tuesday's from 4 to 4:45 PM at Pioneer Park, beginning September 15th and ending October 20th. The program costs $55 and is limited to the first twelve participants.

Fall Youth Soccer

Fall soccer 2020 will be in the form of weekly skill development clinics, lasting six weeks and beginning the week of September 14th. The program will be held at the QJSHS athletic fields. There will be one group per age division (U6, U8, U10, U12, U14), and each division will be limited to the first 12 participants. The weekly schedule will be:

U6: Monday's 9/14-10/19, 5:30-6:15 PM.
U8: Wednesday's 9/16-10/21, 5:15-6 PM.
U10: Tuesday's 9/15-10/20, 5-6 PM.
U12: Monday's 9/14-10/19, 5-6 PM.
U14: Wednesday's 9/16-10/21, 5-6 PM.

Monday Night Golf Scrambles

Beginning Monday, June 22nd, CPRPD is partnering with Plumas Pines Golf Resort to offer a weekly 9 hole scramble at reduced rates of $35 w/cart and $20 for walkers. Weekly winners will receive a prize. The 9 hole scramble will take place every Monday at 5 PM throughout the summer. Please call the Plumas Pines golf shop to register yourself or a team @ 836-1420.

Adult Softball

**IMPORTANT UPDATE: Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel the softball season for a variety of factors influenced by COVID-19. We look forward to seeing everybody next spring for a full softball season.

The league features men's, women's and two coed divisions for players over 18 years of age. Games are played one to two times a week at either Gansner Park or Feather River College softball fields. Pre-registration is required at the District Office or by signing your team roster.  For info call 283-3278.

Johnsville Jr. Ski Team

Offers ski racing for 2nd through 8th grade boys and girls from January through March. Registration fee is $35.00, plus lift ticket costs for 6-8 races. Sign-up today! For more information call the District Office at 283-3278.

Adult Basketball

Season begins Saturday, January 4th and continues through March 7th. Open to men and women ages 20 and up. Games are played on Saturday mornings in the Quincy High School gym facility. Pre-registration with a team fee of $300 is required at the District Office.

Youth Basketball

Grades 3-8

Offered to boys and girls 3rd through 8th grade. Practice begins the second week of November and is generally two days per week. Games begin between mid-December and early January depending on league circumstances and continue through the end of February. The registration fee for 3rd/4th is $45 per child and 5th-8th grade is $60 per child. All games and practices for 3rd/4th are played at the Quincy High School gym. 5th-8th grade teams play in a county-wide league with travel required. Pre-registration is required at the District Office, with a deadline of November 1st to get signed up.

Youth Basketball

Grades K,1&2

Youth basketball is also offered for Kindergarten,1st and 2nd grades. This clinic format program will held every Tuesday, beginning Tuesday, January 7th and continuing through Tuesday, February 25th. Registration fee is $25.00. The program will be at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in the Serpilio Hall from 5:15 - 6:00pm each Tuesday. Pre-registration is required at the District Office.

Elementary Strings

This program is available to school aged youths regardless of skill level. Ms. Johny McDonald is the program instructor and all classes are held at Quincy Elementary School. Registration is required through Ms. McDonald. Registration fee is $45.00/month plus musical instrument rental.

Plumas Swim Team

Open to boys and girls 1st through 8th grade. Sign ups occur in April/May with practices beginning in early June. Swim team members participate in approximately five swim meets including the Quincy Invitational Meet in July. Aquatics

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Pioneer Pool will be closed this summer for facility renovation. We look forward to next summer's season with a revamped pool that will last for years to come!

Pioneer Pool is located at Pioneer Park in East Quincy. The pool is open Mondays through Fridays from 1:15 - 5:00 (public swim) and 5:00 - 7:00 (family swim) and Saturdays 1:15 - 5:00 June 15th through August 15th for a wide variety of swim activities. Both private and group swim lessons are offered from levels 1 through 7 plus Parent/Tot and Basic Rescue classes. Two nine-day group lesson sessions are offered at separate times during the summer. Family swim passes may be purchased for up to 6 members at $125.

Summer Sand Volleyball

Summer Sand Volleyball is an opportunity to play recreational sand volleyball welcoming all levels of play.  Teams of 2 and 4 can compete every Saturdays on the FRC collegiate sand courts. This program will pick back up again in 2021. $40 per participant and must be 16 years or older. See you out there!

YOUTH WRESTLING

The youth wrestling program begins Tuesday, January 7th and ends in early April. Kids in Kindergarten-8th Grade may participate. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday in the Round Room at Quincy Junior-Senior High School. K-3rd Graders practice from 4:30 to 5:30 PM while 4th-8th Graders practice from 5:30 to 7 PM. Registration for the program is $25.
